What I Wore in Napa Valley: Easy & Chic Wine Country Outfits

If you're planning a trip to Napa and wondering what to pack, I'm sharing everything I wore on our recent trip for wine tastings, exploring vineyards, and a few upscale dinners. Napa Valley style is what I like to call elevated country casual. I aimed for outfits that were comfortable for walking around vineyards, but still cute enough for photos and wine tastings. Here’s the breakdown of each look and where I wore it.

Golden Gate Morning (San Francisco Travel Day)

Outfit: Grey tee, denim jacket, cut-off shorts, tall boots
Bag: Structured brown satchel
We started the trip with a quick morning stop at the Golden Gate Bridge before heading into wine country. I kept it layered since it was breezy, but still wanted something that looked put together. The tall boots were great for walking and added a little edge to the look.

Castle Wine Tour Outfit

Outfit: White eyelet set, oversized tan coat, brown riding boots
Bag: Structured brown satchel
This was the outfit I wore for our castle wine tour, and it might’ve been my favorite of the whole trip. It felt like the perfect mix of relaxed and styled—easy enough to walk around in but still polished for photos. The coat gave it a little structure, and the boots were great for all the cobblestone and uneven paths.

Cream Off-Shoulder Dress (Golden Hour Dinner at Bottega)

Outfit: Off-shoulder midi dress + brown sandals
Bag: Brown satchel again (clearly on repeat this trip)
This one was super comfy but still looked polished for golden hour and a more dressed-up dinner. The off-shoulder detail gives it just enough without being over the top.

White Two-Piece Set (Engagement Day)

Outfit: Eyelet puff sleeve crop top + matching skirt
Bag: Mini clutch
This was a favorite—I wore it for our Napa Wine Safari Tour, and also what I was wearing when Chad proposed! This will forever be a special outfit to me.

Dinner at Bouchon Bistro

Outfit: Strapless floral print maxi dress + brown sandals
Bag: White clutch
We went to Bouchon Bistro for dinner, and I threw on this flowy maxi dress. Super easy to wear, light, and I didn’t feel too dressed up or too casual.

Sterling Vineyards Day

Outfit: Navy polka dot midi dress + brown flat sandals
Bag: Woven crossbody
We did a cheese and wine tasting here (highly recommend), and this dress was an easy pick. It’s comfy enough to wear all day but still looks nice in photos. I’m loving polka dots right now!

Casual Dinner Look

Outfit: Ivory satin halter top, straight-leg jeans, pointed heels
Hair: Threw it up in a bun
This was a last-minute dinner outfit I pulled together for Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch. I loved how simple it was, but it still felt elevated thanks to the satin and heels.
